Over two years ago a handful of us set out on journey with one objective,
To give Africans in the Diaspora a voice
We didn’t know how it would pun out or what to expect but we found ourselves the platform up to all Africans wherever in they were. We figured we are all unlikely to be invited by CNN or other popular media to add our voices to the African Narrative
We had no and still do not have a prescribed format, contributors both in-house and Guests are free to write about anything they want so long as it is about Africa. Consequently we have ended up with a rich mix of posts .
We continued to work away quietly albeit with a few challenges but this week we find ourselves in the Global spotlight.
For you see The Guardian has launched a brand new Africa Network and we were invited to join them as contributing partners. We didn’t see this coming but it means an awful lot to us and I can’t put in words Freedes’ reaction when she saw her post up on The Guardian platform
