AFRICA. Who knew how much my life would change having met you? Therefore, in honor of the abundant growth and personal development I have received under your guidance, I am dedicating my first blog submission to you.
Now, in all fairness to those expecting to hear my opinion(s) or point of view relative to the issues that certainly need to be addressed and discussed about Africa’s growing concerns and accomplishments, do not be dismayed. They will come. However, my primarily contribution will always be to “show” you rather than to “tell” you what it is that I find so fabulous about Africa in my estimation and how I became a legitimate daughter of this nation. Albeit, that I was born elsewhere.
It is said that a “picture speaks a thousand words”. Well, I have included eight for your perusal. “EYE SPEAK PHOTOSTORIES” is a collection of visual images that communicate or vocalize only that which the spirit speaks to the heart. Each piece is a living work of art. I coined this particular collection: VALIDATION because Africa taught me that in the midst of imperfection there is perfection and I have been true to the voice I hear within and believe that have demonstrated this in my work. In short, this collection is a testimony to what God can do. Never having been trained as a photographer certainly supports the truth that when God has a purpose for you He is sure to perform it. He is the One who qualifies the unqualified.
